Marketing ROI, means getting the most out of what ever activity you are doing to get targeted traffic to your site.
When you are promoting your website you want to get the highest possible return on your investment. Investment meaning either time or money you put into the promotion.
Traffic Exchanges and Link Exchanges will bring you site visitors but they might not be well targeted. Your free E-books will bring targeted traffic but this can take time also.
The quickest way I have found to reach my targeted traffic is through article writing. At first I thought this sounded rather involved and time consuming but it really is not.
Article marketing ROI has a double or triple benefit which really ads value to this form of marketing. First off lets look at articles themselves.
Most of the articles on the Internet are between 400 words and 1,500 maximum. These articles are written, like a newspaper article, at the eighth or ninth grade level.
If the article is of a technical nature then, of course, it is written at the appropriate level.
One of the most important things to remember when writing for the Internet is how we read on a computer. Generally speaking, we tend to scan an article or web page, looking for the content we are seeking. Therefore, you want to keep the paragraphs short, usually no more than 4 or 5 sentences.
Each paragraph should address only one point. You can use 2 or 3 paragraphs to clarify this point. Shorter paragraphs are much easier to read and understand than longer drawn out paragraphs.
Since you are writing articles to reach your target market, this should be quit easy if you know your subject topic well.Considering this is geared to your website the subject matter will relate to site topic.
Now, if you are new to this, I'm sure you still feel some apprehension about publishing articles. Look at it this way, you have written page after page of content for your site and are comfortable doing it by now. Am I right?
All it takes to write an article for an article directory is one of your tier two topics and information you have all ready built a page around. Take the information from your page and rewrite it, shortening the article so that you can get the reader to visit that page for more information.
The article is not meant to fully inform them but instead to lead them back to your site for all the details. In doing this you have added another benefit...a link to your website. Google will see this and it will increase your standing with Google and other search engines.
There is a third benefit when you start looking at article marketing ROI and that is Money. Freelance writers can earn anywhere for a few dollars to a few hundred per article. For more information on becoming a Freelance writer click the link at bottom of page.
Marketing ROI includes many other ways of driving targeted traffic to your site. This requires just a few sentences and a link to your site. Yahoo Answers is a great place to get very targeted traffic from.
You need to join the site to participate but that only takes a minute or two do do. Once that is finished you search for unanswered questions in your topic area. You then answer the question and if a page on your site give more information place that as a resource link at the end of the answer.
You want to answer as many questions as you can and if you do not have a related page to link to then link to a website that does give more details or that you feel would be beneficial.
It is best if you link to other sites also because this shows you are not just there trying to drive traffic to your own website but are interested in helping others also.
Other places you can answer questions on: AllExperts.com you can link your site on your profile page. Answerbag.com I tried to join this site but after 4 tries with security code not being excepted I gave up. So can not tell you much about it.
Have a look at Andrewdavidson.com/links/question-and-answer-sites/ he lists quit a few different Q. & A. sites on this page.
I stick to Yahoo Answers mainly because of the huge following it has, plus most answers are well thought out and not just a link to someones site.
Remember you are looking at the value gained per the time invested when you are talking about Marketing ROI.
